If you’ve lived in Toronto, or even visited, you’ve been to the white pearly gates of Trinity Bellwoods- it’s almost like heaven, just a little more hip.
Grab a coffee from White squirrel coffee shop, Ella’s uncle or the tampered press– to name a few- and stroll through the largest park in the downtown core. People watching is best saved for the weekends, you’ll see slacklining, musicians, artists and every breed of dog under the sun. Take a tour of the neighbourhood along Shaw Street, famously known for its charming victorian and edwardian abodes. Could it be more fitting that it’s just off Queen St? If you’re more into lofts, the candy factory lofts which once produced everyone’s favourite pocket candy, Rockets, is a designer’s dream. If you’re more of a chocolate lover, the #chocolatefactorylofts are simply delicious.
Hungry yet? check out Oyster boy or the plethora of restaurants and bars along Ossington strip or the farmers market. Thirsty? Check out Bellwoods brewery, locally sourced ingredients that change with the seasons- so refreshing. You can also tuck yourself for a good night at the Drake hotel if you get tired from all that walking.
